Changes at Think2Speak®

Difficult decisions to secure a brighter future for our CIC

We won’t sugar coat it, these past few months have been hugely challenging for us as an organisation. The team has been hard at work trying to ensure that Think2Speak can continue against the backdrop of financial, political and social obstacles. 

Like so many, Covid left us in dire financial circumstances made infinitely worse by the fact that we took out a social investment loan to help achieve our plans for growth, just six months before the Pandemic hit. If only we'd had a crystal ball!

After months of deliberation, and exhausting all other options, together with our board, we made the very difficult decision to liquidate Think2Speak CIC as we know it. 

But this is only the beginning!

We were able to retain certain information such as the Think2Speak® trademark, website, products and services. All of this has been transferred to a new social enterprise called LGBTQ+ Village CIC, which now holds some of the data provided to Think2Speak.

This means we can continue to provide our vital services including support groups and Think2Speak's training and therapeutic services to young LGBTQ+ people and their families. It may also mean that we can revisit those growth plans…
