As Think2Speak approaches its tenth birthday, Jo and I have made the bittersweet decision to start to wind things down. Over the years, we’ve been privileged to support so many incredible young people and families, and now, as lives have moved on and funding has declined, the time has come to say goodbyes. But this isn’t just a farewell—it’s a celebration!

Think2Speak have made it our mission to help bring joy to trans young people this festive season!

This week is Trans Awareness Week - and this is a week of celebration and joy!

Becoming a teenager and going through puberty can be a difficult place to be for some young people added to this is the many multi layered complexities of gender and sexuality. Developing a sense of self in a society that is fixated on cisgender heteronormative notions of the roles of males and females can be really challenging.

Think2Speak are facing closure without your help. We HATE asking for money. If we had a way to avoid it we would, but unless we get funds, Think2Speak will have no choice but to close.

Our services are a lifeline, offering a confidential and non-judgmental space for LGBTQ+ children, young people and their families to connect, share experiences, and receive emotional support. April saw our latest Residential happen in Edale. Read more to hear in the words of the families who attended how amazing the weekend was!

We understand and respect the importance of pronouns, but we know that lots of people aren’t sure how to talk about it with other people. Conversations matter, and so in order to aid successful conversations about pronouns we have created these phrases to help.

Think2Speak, a social enterprise in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, has been awarded £90,000 to provide mental health support to LGBTQ+ children, young people and their families. The funding is being provided by the UK Youth Fund – Thriving Minds, a new programme being delivered by leading national youth work charity UK Youth.

The CPD Service have assessed and quality assured our ‘LGBTQ Creating An LGBTQ Inclusive School course’ awarding it CPD certification. The course equips learners with the tools and confidence to create an LGBTQ+ inclusive environment in their school or setting.
