Thrilled to launch Think2Speak
Over 60 people celebrated the launch of new Lincolnshire based social enterprise, Think2Speak CIC at BG Futures in Lincoln last night.
Lizzie Jordan has founded Think2Speak, to help young people, and those working with them, tackle subjects they find difficult to talk about. Working with schools, youth clubs, young people and their families to free young people from the stigma of discussing subjects like loss and bereavement, domestic abuse, sexual health and mental health.
Lizzie recognised the issues young people are dealing with and wanted to do something about the ‘uncomfortable silences’ young people often felt when discussing sensitive subjects with the professionals involved in their lives.
Supported by an Advisory Panel of 7 respected advisers; Oliver Tasker from Wilkin Chapman, Helen Bates from William Farr CofE Comprehensive School, Simon Garside Youth Offending Team. Gill Angel from RAF, David Grech of B&G HR, Sandya Wellwood, NHS and Chris Jackson, eMentor. Think2Speak also have a team of quality assured specialists, resource providers and subject experts.

'Teachers and staff often don’t have the time, resource or knowledge to handle ‘difficult’ conversations such as the ones my child and I have had to regularly tackle. We would like to see young people, and the professionals working with them, have the skills to confidently handle sensitive conversations, to know who to think to speak to and where to go to access further support.
