‘Conversation Starter’ Colouring Book to Boost Children’s Mental Health

Buy one, donate one books will also help families in need.

Think2Speak have launched their new free wellbeing activity books for children and families accessing food banks.

The colouring books are full of creative activities, postcards and ideas to encourage families to chat and spend time together. They are being sold with a ‘buy one donate one’ approach so that for every book purchased, a child experiencing food poverty will get a book for free.

‘The idea for the books came about from the work we’re doing with one of the food banks in Gainsborough where we’re providing emotional support to people who are isolating and experiencing food poverty. Lots of the families were telling us they needed things for their children to do, but that they didn’t have access to printers to print things off. These colouring books are the ideal solution and have been beautifully created,’ said Lizzie Jordan, Think2Speak’s CEO and Founder. ‘With every book purchased, we will donate at least another one to a child whose family are accessing food banks. They need to know that people care and that they are incredible.’

Think2Speak has collaborated with celebrated Lincolnshire artist Rebecca Strickson to design the books. The pages all contain activities and challenges to encourage children to reflect, get creative and inspire conversations.

At only £6.95 for over 24 pages of colouring and activities the books are great value for any family and thanks to the buy one, donate one approach they will provide a valuable outlet to families without access to other resources.
